Park Forest Montessori School

The Park Forest Montessori School programs are directed toward children who are three through six years old. Children who have reached two years, seven months on or before September 1st may be enrolled.

If your child is 4 years 7 months old by August 31 and you come exclusively to our kindergarten, bussing is available. We offer a full day kindergarten program from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The children pack a lunch and eat in school while supervised by a parent volunteer. Some parents may also wish to choose to enroll their child a half day in our kindergarten. Preference for enrollment will be given to the all day children first.

The Park Forest Montessori School is a private non-profit organization and is licensed as a Private Academic School by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. It is a full affiliate of the American Montessori Society.

The Park Forest Montessori School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin in admission of students or in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship program, and other school administered programs.

The school calendar generally follows that of the State College Area School District. The school offers a full program of 180 days. Two sessions are offered; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning session begins at 9:00 a.m., and dismisses at 11:30 a.m. The afternoon session begins at 12:30 p.m. and dismisses at 3:00 p.m. Children must arrive at and be picked up from the school within five minutes of the beginning and dismissal times.
