Enrollment

We are now accepting new students for preschool and kindergarten. Our programs are directed toward children who are three through six years old. Children who have reached two years, seven months may be enrolled.

Schedule

The school calendar generally follows that of the State College Area School District. The school offers a full program of 180 days for preschool and kindergarten.

Morning session: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon session: 12:30 p.m – 3:00 p.m.
Full-day kindergarten: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The children pack a lunch and eat in school while supervised by a parent volunteer. If your child is 4 years 7 months old by August 31 and comes exclusively to our kindergarten, bussing is available.

Some parents may wish to choose to enroll their child for a half day in our kindergarten. Preference in enrollment is given first to full-day students.

Licensing

The Park Forest Montessori School is licensed as a Private Academic School by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and is a member of the American Montessori Society.
